The National Basketball League (NBL) of Canada is coming to Saskatoon on Nov. 2.
Officials were in the city Monday to announce that reigning Champion London Lightning will take on the Halifax Hurricanes in the new Merlis Belsher Place.
It should prove to be an exciting game — it’s a repeat of the 2017 championship final.
Praising the league’s John Graham, the Hon. Ken Cheveydayoff said, “(He) has a history of providing top-level professional sporting entertainment for Saskatchewan fans and we look forward to this exciting event.”
Both NBL teams also look forward to playing in the brand new facility.
A portion of the proceeds from the Friday, Nov. 2 game will go toward the Red Cross of Canada Saskatchewan.
Tickets range in price from $10 to $55 plus fees and go on sale Sept. 29.
