Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning through the Biggar-Rosetown areas and across to the Alberta border.
Forecasts for the area show the potential for 10 to 15 centimetres of snow to fall through the day Saturday.
“Those amounts could be quite variable throughout the region,” meteorologist Mark Melsness told 650 CKOM Saturday morning.
He expects area further east of Alberta including Outlook to see closer to five centimetres of snow.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if there were a few snowfall records at least for this early in the year,” Melsness said.
With the early snow, Melsness also cautioned drivers to be careful on highways specifically south or west of Saskatoon on Highway 11 and 7.
