A 28-year-old man is recovering from severe burns after setting himself on fire early Sunday morning.
According to police, officers were called around 1:10 a.m. to a home on Kolynchuk Crescent where a man was threatening to harm himself.
They arrived to find the man standing outside the home with gasoline and a lighter.
Police said officers tried to intervene, but the man ignited the fuel and suffered life-threatening injuries before the blaze could be extinguished.
