A 78-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged following a historical sexual assault investigation.
Saskatoon police said Tuesday they were contacted by Calgary police earlier this year, when a 50-year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted as a student, four decades ago.
Police said the suspect resides in Saskatoon and taught the victim between 1977 and 1979, when the incidents are alleged to have taken place.
The now 78-year-old suspect was arrested by members of the sex crimes and child abuse unit Friday. He’s charged with indecent assault.
