A 22-year-old woman is charged with impaired driving, driving over the legal limit and failing to remain at the scene of an accident after two off-duty cops watched an erratic driver on 20th Street.
Around 10:30 p.m. Friday the officers were getting into a personal vehicle in the 500 block of 20th West when they saw a driver narrowly miss a pedestrian then hit a parked car.
The officers followed the vehicle as it continued west on 20th Street.
Eventually, officers were able to arrest the driver when the vehicle stopped at 20th Street and Avenue M.
On-duty patrol officers arrived at the scene soon after to take the woman into custody.
