A 44-year-old man has suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle late Saturday morning in Saskatoon.
Police were called out around 11:45 a.m. to the 2400 block of 22nd Street West with a report a vehicle had hit a pedestrian.
Paramedics were called to the scene and took the man to hospital.
As of 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Police were advising that traffic was restricted in the westbound lanes of 22nd Street West between Avenue W North and Witney Avenue.
Those restrictions were expected to remain in place for some time after a second collision, this time involving just a single vehicle, happened around 1 p.m. at the nearby intersection of 23rd Street West and Avenue W North. Police did not provide any information on whether anyone was hurt in the second crash.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area.
