I’m going to have to go with the favourites on Sunday.
The Riders have the upper hand on the Bombers for several, obvious, reasons.
Saskatchewan is playing well, especially on defence. Up front, this team — with players such as sack leader Charleston Hughes —has made life miserable for opposing offences.
The “13th Man” also deserves credit for getting in to the heads of opposing quarterbacks.
Winnipeg is struggling. Not only on the field, but with injuries and controversy.
While I don’t believe it was his intent, Matt Nichols was accused of throwing his receivers under the bus during interviews following the Calgary game. It’s a distraction the Bombers have had to deal with.
Riders 38, Bombers 31.
While Rider fans may like this pick, my record this season is 3 and 6. Don’t celebrate quite yet.
