A public safety risk led police to taser a 48-year-old woman.
According to police, a woman yelled and hit a house in the 600 block of Avenue H South with a metal pipe Wednesday afternoon.
Officers arrived around 12:30 p.m. and were able to calm her down.
Police said she became aggressive again — brandishing the metal pipe which is when an officer determined she was a public safety risk and used a taser.
Officers took the woman into custody.
She was taken to hospital as a precaution.
At this time no charges have been laid.
