Three sexual assaults have been reported in Moose Jaw, all with very similar circumstances, and police are asking any other victims to come forward.
One assault happened in June, another this past weekend, and police say another assault happened in August 2017 but was only reported this weekend.
In each case, a woman between the ages of 17 and 30 was walking alone near downtown Moose Jaw in the very early hours of the morning. Police say the woman was approached by a lone man in a vehicle and accepted a ride home from him.
According to police, there are similarities between the three assaults but there’s not enough at this point to say definitely whether it’s the same attacker.
Police say one suspect description is of a caucasian man between 30 and 50 years old, with brown hair, standing between 5’10” and 6′ tall with an average build.
A description of the vehicle was not provided.
Those were all the details provided. Police say they’re working with the witnesses to get a clearer description of the attacker and the vehicle.
The Moose Jaw Police Service is asking anyone who’s dealt with a similar incident – even if the ride wasn’t accepted – to contact them at 306-694-7600.
Police are also reminding people not to accept rides from strangers, and that it’s safer to walk in groups, especially at night.
