The Saskatoon Fire Department used multiple trucks to battle a blaze in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood Wednesday morning.
Firefighters were called to a home at 350 Avenue R South just after 8 a.m. with reports of smoke coming out of the building.
Five trucks were dispatched to the area — three standard trucks, a ladder unit and a battalion chief. They arrived to find smoke exiting the back of the home.
“Upon entry, we found the house fully charged with smoke,” assistant fire chief Wayne Rodger said less than an hour after the fire was reported.
The fire was under control and completely extinguished by 9 a.m..
Rodger said investigators are on scene and are working to determine a cause and provide estimate damages.
