Police have identified a body found Thursday in the South Saskatchewan River as that of a 57-year-old man missing since Sunday.
Robert Lehto was last seen near a sand bar in the river south of Saskatoon at Paradise Beach.
Aircraft and ground crews had searched the area since his disappearance. Those efforts were suspended Thursday when a body was found.
On Friday, police confirmed the remains were Lehto’s. There was no information on a cause of death.
RCMP said they were continuing to investigate with help from the provincial coroner’s office.
