Shellbrook RCMP say they’ve recovered a police jacket that was stolen over the weekend.
The jacket disappeared while officers were patrolling a demolition derby event in Parkside on Saturday.
They said in an earlier release that the RCMP members were notified around 11:45 p.m. of a person who had gone into their vehicle sitting in the parking lot.
Only the jacket was taken.
Police noted anyone wearing an RCMP jacket could be committing the crime of imitating a peace officer.
