A loose pig helped lighten the mood for Kindersley and Rosetown RCMP officers over the weekend.
Kindersley RCMP posted a story to their Facebook page Monday about the Saturday incident, which starts with the detachment receiving several calls about a “lost, little piggy, roaming the streets of Kindersley, trying to find its way to market.”
“Recognizing the seriousness of this call, back-up was called and a member of the Central Traffic Services Section from Rosetown said he would assist, as he was BOARd at the time,” the post continues.
RCMP said officers decided to go “whole hog” on the situation and they voted to “hog-tie the little piggy, instead of using hoofcuffs.”
They said a Cst. DeBruin was able to lure the pig into his cruiser with a roast beef sandwich.
“This little piggy went wee, wee, wee all the way,” the post reads.
After a photo was taken with the constable and pig, it was returned to its pen.
