An investigation by the Saskatchewan Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team has netted two arrests and numerous drug trafficking charges.
It all began just after 1 p.m. Tuesday when officers saw what they believed to be a drug deal inside a vehicle in the 100 block of Cope Crescent.
Officers seized $38,700 and more than 970 grams of methamphetamine, with an additional 43 grams of methamphetamine found in a second vehicle nearby.
Police arrested two men inside the vehicle.
Searches in a garage in the 2600 block of Cascade Street, a house in the 1300 block of Argyle Avenue and a hotel room in the 900 block of Spadina Crescent following the arrests led to more cash and drugs.
928 grams of methamphetamine, $31,000 in cash, 56 grams of marijuana and a dirt bike were found at those properties.
A 46-year-old man from Saskatoon is charged with numerous possession and trafficking charges, as well as possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000 and breach of probation.
A 33-year-old Saskatoon man was also charged.
