Severe thunderstorm watch for southwestern Saskatchewan

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch covering western Saskatchewan along the Alberta border from St Walburg south to the US border.

According to the weather office, conditions are right for the development of a severe thunderstorm with damaging wind, large hail and torrential rainfall.

Environment Canada also reminded that severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
