A 34-year-old woman is dead after a head-on crash between a minivan and a pickup truck on Highway 17 Sunday afternoon.
RCMP said Monday they responded to multiple 911 calls about a crash north of Lloydminster around 4:25 p.m.
According to police, the van and truck collided head-on in the shoulder of the northbound lane.
The minivan driver – a 34-year-old woman – was pronounced dead at the scene.
An 11-year-old girl also in the van was taken to hospital for observation and then released.
The 81-year-old driver of the truck was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
All three are from the Lloydminster area.
RCMP continue to investigate with assistance from traffic reconstruction and the provincial coroner’s office.
