One game doesn’t define a CFL season.
However, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ Week 4 performance with quarterback Matt Nichols back in the lineup should make fans reassess how the West Division standings may play out at the end of October.
I still believe the Western titans are in Alberta. Bo Levi-Mitchell and Mike Reilly are former Grey Cup
champions. They will be tough to beat.
However, it’s not a stretch to suggest Winnipeg could be in the hunt for a division title after Saturday night’s dominating 41-19 win over B.C.
Nichols, who returned from a training camp injury, didn’t set any CFL records, but was at the controls of a Winnipeg offence that couldn’t be stopped.
Nichols’ experience along with backup Chris Streveler’s talents could make Winnipeg a force.
I know that’s something the Rider Nation didn’t want to hear.
