Luckily no one was injured when property owners discovered a stranger inside their home on Eddy Place.
Saskatoon police say the owners got home around 7:30 p.m. Saturday and found the woman inside damaging their property.
They called 911 and tried to keep the woman inside until police arrived.
At that point, the woman grabbed a knife from the kitchen and threatened one of the owners.
According to police, the owner wrestled the knife away before officers arrived.
Police arrested the 48-year-old woman at the scene.
She faces charges of break and enter, possession of break and enter tools, assault with a weapon, obstruction of a police officer, breach of probation and breach of undertaking.
