Lifeguards jumped into action at Lawson Civic Centre Tuesday after a girl was found unconscious in the pool.
The girl, who was at the pool as part of a field trip with Brunskill School was pulled from the water by lifeguards who started CPR immediately.
At the same time, another staff member called 911.
The city says the girl regained consciousness and firefighters and paramedics took over.
She was transported to hospital a short time later.
According to Saskatoon Public Schools, she was seen by doctors and will be fine.
In a statement, the city and school board said it’s pleased with the lifeguards quick and effective action.
Staff involved in the incident are receiving a debriefing while support is available for students that were at the pool when it happened.
