Then there’s Carlton Bear’s reaction when he checked his winning MaxMillions ticket on June 10.
“On the evening I checked the ticket, It showed a one and a number of zeroes. I couldn’t believe it,” he said.
“The third time, I took a picture of it and took it to my family.”
That’s when things dramatically changed for Bear, whom originally thought he won $100,000 when he first glanced at his ticket.
“I showed my daughter on my cellphone and she said, ‘Dad, that’s $1-million.,” Bear said with a chuckle.
