A wildfire has forced people to evacuate from a northern Saskatchewan community.
An evacuation order was issued Tuesday night in Southend, located about 460 kilometres northeast of Prince Albert,
The move came as a nearly 1000-hectare forest fire burned about 11 kilometres southwest of the community.
The 2016 census listed Southend’s population at 917 people.
Evacuees were sent to Prince Albert and Saskatoon.
