RCMP say a small plane had to make an emergency landing on a highway north of Shellbrook Sunday.
According to police, the plane – a Piper Cherokee 6 – initially landed safely on Highway 240, before clipping a road sign with one wing.
The damaged aircraft came to a stop in a nearby field.
The pilot, a 41-year-old man from Clavet, wasn’t injured.
No charges have been laid at this time and the investigation is ongoing by Shellbrook RCMP and Transport Canada.
