A 27-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 59-year-old Gordon Ernest Tucker.
North Battleford RCMP announced the charges against Joshua Roy Tucker Sunday, which happened to be his birthday.
According to police, information came in around 9:30 a.m. on May 31 that led investigators to a rural property southeast of Cochin, where they found a body.
On Friday, RCMP said they had a person of interest in custody.
The accused, from the Cochin area, is charged with second-degree murder and one count of breaching probation.
Joshua Tucker will appear in North Battleford Provincial Court Monday morning.
The resort village of Cochin is located on Jackfish Lake, near the Battlefords Provincial Park.
