A 42-year-old man is being accused of impaired flying after a small plane crashed Tuesday evening near Swift Current.
Swift Current RCMP said in a release a Cessna passenger plane had crashed around 7:30 p.m. into a field about four kilometres west of the city.
The release said the plane had used a grid road to take off, but clipped some trees and hit the ground about one-and-a-half kilometres away.
Two men — the pilot and passenger — suffered minor injuries.
Calvin Pahl, the owner of the plane, is charged with impaired operation of a plane.
He has been released from custody and is expected to appear in Swift Current provincial court on June 27.
