The Vegas Golden Knights had some special guests on hand Wednesday night as they took a 2-1 series lead in the NHL’s Western Conference Final with a 4-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets.
The team invited the wife and sons of Darcy Haugan, the head coach killed on April 6 in the Humboldt Broncos bus tragedy, to take in Game 3.
Vegas mascot Chance the Gila Monster visited Christina, Carson and Jackson Haugan during a recent swing through Saskatchewan.

The team also made sure the Haugans arrived in style, hooking them up with jerseys ahead of the game.

Golden Knights goalie Marc-André Fleury was still fresh off an eye-popping 33-save performance when he sat down with Carson, 12, and Jackson, 9, in a great moment captured by Kevaney Martin, a sports reporter with Las Vegas CBS affiliate 8NewsNow.

The Golden Knights and Jets are back at it Friday in Game 4 of the their best-of-seven series to determine who will advance to the Stanley Cup Final.
