I’m finding it very hard to pick the team that has the edge going in to game seven of the Jets/Predators series.
Nashville is at home, they are coming off of a 4-0 win in game six, and have last season’s playoff experience to draw from.
The Jets have been the more consistent team defensively. Winnipeg has allowed 18 goals in this series, while the Predators allowed 22. Connor Hellebuyck has been better than Pekka Rinne.
Ironically, these teams even-strength statistics are nearly equal. Even though games five and six were blow outs, each team scored six goals. That’s indicative of how tight game seven may be.
It’s too close to call. When the Stanley Cup playoffs started, I picked Nashville and Tampa Bay to go to the final – so let’s do this.
I’ll stick with my pick of the Predators, while pulling for the Jets.
