Two high schools in Saskatoon were placed under lockdowns Monday morning after receiving a threat.
Lockdowns at Bethlehem Catholic High School and Tommy Douglas Collegiate went into effect around 9:45 a.m.
Saskatoon police told 650 CKOM a student threatened to bring a weapon to Tommy Douglas school.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested in a park west of the school, while a backpack was located nearby containing an airsoft gun.
He is now facing one count each of uttering threats, carrying a weapon dangerous to the public peace, carrying a concealed weapon, pointing a firearm and mischief.
The lockdown was lifted shortly after 10 a.m.
