Collision leaves cyclist in critical condition

A collision between a vehicle and cyclist Friday afternoon sent a 19-year-old man to hospital in critical condition.

According to police, officers were called to Arlington Avenue and Taylor Street East around 4:20 p.m. after a report a cyclist was hit by a vehicle.

Shortly after officers arrived the 19-year-old was rushed to hospital by Medavie Health Services.

Traffic restrictions at the intersection were lifted around 9:45 p.m. and the collision analyst unit continues to investigate.

Police have not released any information about the driver of the vehicle involved.
