Saskatoon’s IMAX movie screen is opening sooner than everyone thought.
Scotiabank Theatre Saskatoon and VIP is now selling tickets for two IMAX showings of Avengers: Infinity War on Thursday.
The new movie experience was originally slated to open in Saskatoon some time in May.
An existing screen at the 2nd Avenue location was replaced to allow for a faster conversion. Saskatoon will be the 25th Canadian market to have an IMAX.
IMAX theatres differ from most experiences at a cinema. It features wall-to-wall screens, enhanced digital surround sound and a higher quality projection screen than the existing AVX theatre.
