RCMP arrest man-seize weapons in Battlefords search warrant

Early Friday morning Battlefords RCMP with help from several divisions and support units executed a high-risk search warrant.

Several weapons were seized and a 64-year-old man was arrested.

According to an RCMP release, the investigation is part of strategic enforcement for crime reduction but it did not elaborate on what brought police to the property.

The man will stay in police custody through the weekend, until his first court appearance which is scheduled for Monday morning at Battlefords Provincial Court.

More details on his charges are expected to be released following the court date.
