Rush turned an 8-3 fourth quarter deficit into a 9-8 victory in its home opener.
It’s now the middle of April, but winter isn’t yet done with the province.
A special weather statement issued by Environment Canada is calling for snow, gusting winds and possibly freezing rain for central areas Tuesday.
Both Saskatoon and Regina can expect up to five centimetres — about an inch or two — of snow to fall by Tuesday evening.
“Temperatures are supposed to be rather warm. So we’re expecting most of the snow that falls to melt rather quickly,” said Environment Canada meteorologist Shannon Moodie.
“The only concern is that there could be some bands of heavier flurries that will develop within this system. Those could be stationary and within those bands, we could see up to 10 cm of snow.
Moodie also cautioned there will be gusty southeasterly winds creating reduced visibilities at times on highways. Check the Highway Hotline for updates on road conditions throughout the day.
The snow will taper off this evening as the system weakens.
The weather agency is calling for sunshine and mild temperatures for the rest of the week in both Regina and Saskatoon.
