Another person has died from the Humboldt Broncos bus crash last Friday.
Dayna Brons, the team’s athletic therapist, died Wednesday as a result of injuries sustained in the bus crash. She was named as one of the four patients in critical care by the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) earlier in the day.
“The family of Dayna Brons would like to share that Dayna passed away peacefully this afternoon as a result of her injuries,” a release from the SHA said. “She was surrounded by those she loved and those who loved her.”
“Dayna will be forever remembered for her joyful smile, and her passion and love of sport.”

The Humboldt Broncos were traveling to Nipawin for game five of its SJHL playoff series when the team bus collided with a semi-truck.
Brons is the 16th death related to the crash. She was 24-years-old.
“Dayna’s family would like to thank the first responders, emergency staff, and all those who have cared for Dayna over these last few days for their support,” the release said. “And, they would like to thank everyone across Saskatchewan and Canada for their love and prayers during this very difficult time.”
