One man is facing charges following some quick reaction to an armed robbery by Saskatoon police on Wednesday.
Shorly after 2 p.m., officers responded to a robbery taking place at a convenience store in the 3900 block of 8th Street East. A suspect fled the area shortly after threatening a cashier with a knife and getting away with some cash.
Officers saw a man matching the suspect’s description 20 minutes after the robbery on the 1000 block of McKercher Drive.
They discovered the stolen cash and a knife on the 26-year-old man and arrested him on robbery and weapons related charges.
