A 25-year-old man is facing charges after a stabbing on the Yellow Quill First Nation.
Members of the Greenwater RCMP detachment were called on March 25 to the community about 300 kilometres east of Saskatoon.
They arrived to find a 16-year-old with what were described as severe injuries.
Police said the teen was taken to hospital in Kelvington, then moved to Saskatoon.
An investigation led officers from the Greenwater, Wadena and Hudson Bay detachments to return to Yellow Quill on March 31 with a search warrant for a home.
They arrested Corey Mark Peequaquat at the scene.
He faces a number of charges including aggravated assault, forcible confinement, possession of a weapon and uttering threats.
Peequaquat was scheduled to appear Wednesday in Rose Valley Provincial Court.
