Saskatoon Police got an assist from the weather in making an arrest on Wednesday.
An 18-year-old man is facing two charges of mischief after allegedly breaking into two parked cars in Saskatoon’s west side.
Early Wednesday morning, police were called to a house in the 400 block of Avenue J South to investigate a report of a man breaking into a parked car.
When officers arrived at the scene, they noticed a shoe pattern in the freshly fallen snow next to a vehicle with a broken driver’s side window.
Police located the man with a matching shoe print after a canine track was unable to do so.
Once in custody, police found pairs of sunglasses and phone cords stolen from the vehicles on his person.
