RCMP have charged a man with weapons offences following an investigation of a break and enter in rural Saskatchewan in which a gun was fired.
Police say Mounties from the Spiritwood detachment west of Prince Albert responded to a call early Tuesday morning.
Officers took a man into custody and were searching for a missing Ford F350 truck.
RCMP say Ronald Joseph of the Big River First Nation faces possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public, unauthorized possession of a firearm, break and enter, theft of a vehicle and other charges.
Police say Joseph, who is to appear in court on Wednesday, is not the person who fired the gun.
RCMP declined to release further details.
Spiritwood is located 120 kilometres west of Prince Albert.
