A Colorado Low means widespread snowfall warnings Sunday through Monday in Saskatchewan.
Environment Canada warns that most areas could see between 10 and 20 centimetres, up to 8 inches, of snow, while communities closer to the Manitoba border can expect up to a foot of snow.
Because of the unpredictability of the system Environment Canada says snow totals could change and suggests people check updated forecasts.
In the warning, the national weather service said the storm will impact travel and referred people to Highway Hotline.
The snowfall is expected to taper off Monday afternoon and through Tuesday.
