Five people have been arrested following a heavy police presence seen Friday morning in the area around Avenue H North and 33rd Street West.
A patrol officer reportedly stopped a suspicious vehicle just after 7:30 a.m. on the 800 block of 33rd Street West.
Police said back-up arrived after it was determined there might be a gun inside the vehicle.
Three men and two women were taken into custody, with police reporting they also seized a firearm.
Traffic in the area was diverted briefly, but was flowing normally again by 9 a.m.
Police said the incident remains under investigation.
