It’s not the colour she wanted, but Saskatoon’s Emily Clark is holding her head high bringing home a silver medal at the Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Her Olympic debut ended in heartbreak when the Canadian women’s hockey team lost the gold medal game to the U.S. in a shootout.
At 22, Clark was the youngest player on Team Canada which she said fulfilled a childhood dream.
Clark not only got to live out her dream, she also contributed to Team Canada’s return to the podium. She scored her first Olympic point on a goal in Canada’s 5-0 semifinal win over the Olympic Athletes from Russia.
Clark will be showing off her silver medal for fans at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday when she arrives at the Saskatoon airport.
