A TV interview with Johnny Manziel that was recorded over the weekend hit the airwaves on Monday morning.
It was an interview in which the 25-year-old said that getting back to the NFL is the “end goal”.
It was three and a half years ago that Manziel was drafted by the Cleveland Browns.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats own his CFL rights. While some CFL followers may take exception to his statement, what is most important is that Manziel gets well. The former Texas A & M pivot needs to conquer addictions issues and also confirmed in the interview that he is bipolar.
Manziel deserves credit.
He exposed his personal weaknesses. That’s not easy for any of us to do. If the CFL helps Manziel return to the NFL
I have no problem with that. The game could serve as good therapy. If he never plays a down in Canada, the league will survive just fine.
This is about a person, not a player.
