Statistics Canada released its job numbers for January on Friday morning and Saskatchewan came out near the top.
The province saw an unemployment rate of 5.4 per cent in January — the same as Quebec.
A media release from the province Friday showed employment is up 1,100 from the previous month, with 6,200 full-time jobs created month-over-month in Saskatchewan.
In total, 560,100 people in the province were employed in January.
Canada’s national unemployment rate sits at 5.9 per cent; British Columbia had the lowest rate in the country at 4.8 per cent.
