A 17-year-old boy is recovering at Royal University Hospital after being stabbed a during home invasion and robbery in Saskatoon Monday.
Police were called to the scene located in the 3600 block of Diefenbaker Drive around 2:30 p.m.
According to police, two suspects armed with bear spray and a knife entered the residence and demanded prescription drugs.
Police said the home owners fought back against the invaders resulting in the 17-year-old being stabbed in the leg and rib cage area. Another person in the home hit a suspect with a hammer. The suspects then used the bear spray and fled with a wallet.
A police K9 team was unable to track down the pair.
The suspects are described as two Indigenous men in their late teens, approximately 5 foot 10 to 5 foot 11 with dark hair and possibly wearing gloves.
They both were wearing grey hoodies and had their faces covered with a red and black bandana.
