Tom Brady’s experience not only shows each and every time steps on to the field, but whenever he steps to the microphone as well.
At a rally in Foxborough on Monday, while getting the crowd excited, he made the point that his Patriots were about to face a really good team in Super Bowl LII.
Later, at media night in Minnesota, Brady suggested that there was no favourite and no underdog. He pointed to the records, as both the Eagles and Pats went 13-3 in the regular season.
The Patriots are the obvious favourites on Sunday based on experience alone.
Don’t forget that the Patriots are very deep. They beat Jacksonville in the AFC final even though receiver Rob Gronkowski left with an injury. They are never complacent. New England never sacrifices preparation by looking at the odds.
The Patriots didn’t win two of the last three Super Bowl games by believing they were favoured to win. That’s a big reason why they will likely make it 3-for-4 on Sunday.
