A 22-year-old man is dead after a snowmobile crash in Northern Saskatchewan over the weekend.
According to RCMP, emergency crews responded to a snowmobile crash at Sanderson Point, near the community of La Ronge, around 3 a.m. on Saturday.
The snowmobile driver, a 22-year-old man from the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger, a 24-year-old man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Both men were wearing protective equipment at the time.
RCMP is investigating with help from the coroner’s office.
La Ronge is located about 250 kilometres north of Prince Albert.
