A train running between Wakaw and Cudworth this summer is more than a way to get from point A to point B.
The Wheatland Express Excursion Train is set to host murder mysteries, heists and other events from June 2 to Sept. 15.
According to Manager Amy Lintick, the idea for it was born from the excitement of past special events and the need for something a bit different.
“As we started working with Wheatland Railway and operating on their line, the need kind of came about,” she said.
The trips are expected to last a couple of hours and vary depending on the type of event you choose.
“When you’re on the train you’re there for an experience,” Lintick said.
Because each event is a bit different you never know what you’ll find.
“The train will have some interesting characters on it,” Director of Sales and Marketing Joan Wassill said.
During the heists, Wassill says willing participants could be robbed, with any loot taken going to charity.
