The 19th year of BHP Enchanted Forest brought its biggest crowd to date.
From Nov. 17 to closing night Jan. 7 77,000 people took in the light display at Saskatoon’s Forestry Farm Park, up about 5,000 people from the 2015/2016 season.
According to a media release, around 30,000 of those visitors were from out of town and combined the stop with Christmas shopping and sporting events.
Numbers are still being finalized but at this point, $250,000 in proceeds will be split between the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation and the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation.
Planning is already underway for next years display.
