Sherry Anderson’s team from the Nutana Curling Club defeated the Robyn Silvernagle quartered out of North Battleford 7-6 in the final of the Viterra Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Melfort on Sunday.
Anderson tied the game at 5-5 with a deuce in the eighth end. After stealing a point in the ninth, Anderson’s team held Silvernagle to one in the tenth end, allowing Anderson’s team to win the championship game in an extra end.
Anderson’s team of Karlee Korchinski, Krista Fesser and Kourtney Fesser will now represent Saskatchewan at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Penticton from January 27th to February 4th.
