For Murray Wood, Easter brings to mind grandma's practical advice about repurposing, and some of life's little lessons.
The Saskatchewan Rush continued a perfect season Saturday with a 13-9 win over the National Lacrosse League champion Swarm in Georgia.
It was a slow start with Rush Forward Robert Church scoring the only goal of the first quarter, assisted by Jeremy Thompson and Ryan Keenan.
By halftime, Saskatchewan was up 5-3.
In the third quarter, it started to heat up with six Rush goals, countered by only two from Georgia.
The Swarm would add another four goals in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Rush with a final score of 13-9.
Saskatchewan’s record moves to 3-0 on the young season putting them tied with the Colorado Mammoth for first in the Western Division.
One of those perfect seasons will end Jan. 19 when the Rush visit Colorado.
