The Saskatoon Police Service will review a domestic disturbance call after a taser deployed by an officer missed it’s intended target —a 34-year-old man.
According to police, they responded to a domestic disturbance call around 4 a.m. Monday on the 200 block of Keevil Way, in the University Heights area.
In a release, police say the suspect seemed agitated and combative when officers arrived and wouldn’t listen to instructions.
A taser was used but missed and a physical altercation broke out. Eventually, police say they were able to arrest the man.
He was not hurt, but one officer had minor injuries from the brawl.
The 34-year-old is set to appear before a Justice of the Peace Monday.
Whenever a conductive energy weapon is used by police it is reviewed.
