Battlefords RCMP are offering an opportunity for wanted criminals to avoid spoiling their holiday plans.
In a tongue-in-cheek news release, RCMP say anyone with outstanding warrants – and those who think they might have one – can come by the detachment between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Friday.
“There will be extra staff onsite to expedite the process,” the release stated.
Police even offered rides to any wanted criminal who called in a request to 306-446-1720.
“This opportunity is timely as your warrants, if you have any, could be cleared up before ruining any holiday plans later this month!”
Additionally, police ask anyone with knowledge of any wanted persons to please call North Battleford RCMP at 306-446-1720 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
People can also text TIP206 and message to CRIMES (274637), as well as submit a tip online.
